Arbitration Open for 3GN Tournament Series
The FNH USA 3-Gun Nation Tour, Presented by SureFire, has opened arbitration for all scores posted from the previous four qualifying matches that have taken place thus far. The arbitration period for those matches will close at the end of registration day, Aug. 4, at the JP Rocky Mountain 3-Gun. Due to time constraints, no scores from the first four events will be arbitrated after Aug. 4.
The previous matches were DPMS Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun, Sabre Defence Blue Ridge Mountain 3-Gun, FNH USA Midwest 3-Gun Championship and MGM Ironman. For Blue Ridge, there were no scores posted due to a weather cancellation; however, each competitor hoping to qualify for the 3GN Championship should be sure they were counted for participating in the event (see list below). 3GN competitors are required to participate in a minimum of three matches, and the Blue Ridge match still counts as a participating event. As such, 3GN will count the top two scores from the series, with a minimum participation in at least three matches. A competitor also must have at least two scores within the same division to qualify for the 3GN Championship
The 3GN standings can be viewed at this website by navigating through the “3-Gun Events” window, located above the SureFire ad on the right side of the homepage. Click the “Standings” tab, then “view all completed results,” to find the 3GN points awarded at a particular event. Users can also navigate by “Divisions” to find their scores.
At SMM3G, stages 3, 4, 5 and 6 were used as 3GN point stages. Competitors can check their scores posted here against the final postings from the host match, SMM3G, which can be viewed at http://www.smm3gun.com/results.htm. Each stage has a possible of 100 points for the top score per stage, descending throughout the order of finish.
At FNH USA Midwest 3-Gun, stages 1, 2 and 3 were used as 3GN point stages. Originally, stage 4 was also used, however, the stage was thrown out by match officials during the event. Stage 6 was used to replace stage 4 during the match. Ultimately, stage 6 was also thrown out by match officials after the match, so for the series standings, stages 1, 2 and 3 were normalized to arrive at the 400-points possible for the 3GN match score. Competitors can check their 3GN scores posted here against the final postings from the host match, FNH USA Midwest 3-Gun, http://midwest3gun.com/.
At MGM Ironman, stages 6, 8, 9 and 10 were used for 3GN point stages. Like SMM3G, each stage has a possible of 100 points, with scores descending in value based on each competitor’s finish on that particular stage. To see the final results from the Ironman, go to http://www.mgmtargets.com/ironman/previous_matches.php.
The final qualifying match of the season, JP Rocky Mountain 3-Gun, takes place Aug. 5-7 at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, N.M. Like previous matches, the 3GN Shoot-Off will take place immediately following the match, where the top eight competitors will battle for $5,000, courtesy of Safariland.
At the conclusion of the JP RM3G, 3-Gun Nation will post both the results from RM3G and the top 50 qualifiers for the 3GN Championship. All arbitration for RM3G scores must be completed immediately following the event. With that process completed, 3GN can then publish the top 50 qualifiers for the 3GN Championship, held Sept. 13 in Las Vegas, where one winner will take home $25,000, courtesy of Leupold. Also, the 2ndplace finisher will receive $10,000, courtesy of US P.A.L.M., and 3rdplace will receive $5,000, courtesy of Timney Triggers. Other top finishers in the match will win prizes from FNH USA, SureFire, Federal Premium, Weaver Optics, Brownells, Leupold, Vortex Optics, Revision, Mac Tools, Lewis Machine & Tool, Otis, 5.11 Tactical, Under Armour and much more.
Any competitor wishing to arbitrate a score, or to have questions answered about any part of the FNH USA 3-Gun Nation Tour, Presented by SureFire, or the 3GN Championship event, should contact Chad Adams at chad @3gunnation.com.
