Aero Precision Enhanced Series Upper Receivers
Thursday, December 18, 2014
The M4E1 (5.56) and M5E1 (.308) Enhanced Upper Receivers from Aero Precision are precision-machined and feature a one-piece design by combining the rail’s mounting surface with the upper receiver, reducing mounting parts count down to eight screws. The result is a stronger mounting system, yet one that enables more lightening cuts to further reduce weight and aid in more efficient cooling, according to Aero Precision.
For complete uppers, Aero’s own rails mate to their receivers for a near seamless fit, with Picatinny, Keymod or M-Lok designs available from 7 to 15 inches in length. Barrel installation is relatively easy using the provided barrel nut and wrench, while the rail slides on and screws are simply tightened down for a modular, free-floated system.
Finally, the Enhanced Series Rails feature a 1.8-inch inside diameter to accommodate a host of different size flash suppressors, muzzle brakes and/or suppressors. Receivers are available in several different configurations and finishes, including anodized and Cerakote. For more information, visit aeroprecisionusa.com.
