MGM Ironman: Day 2
The second day of competition is complete at the 2010 MGM Ironman in Parma, Idaho, the fourth of five qualifying events on the FNH USA 3-Gun Nation Tour, Presented by SureFire.
By the time shooting concluded late Friday afternoon, competitors were beginning to show the fatigue that has become a trademark at what many consider to be the most demanding event in all the shooting sports.
The 3GN cameras captured amazing runs today from Barry Dueck, Matt Burkett, and Tasha Hanish, setting up what should prove to be an exciting final day of competition on Saturday.
In the Open division, Burkett is attempting to claim his eighth Ironman title, while Mike Voigt is shooting for the division win in his first Ironman appearance. Dueck is in contention to make his second consecutive 3GN shoot-off, while Tasha Hanish and Deb Cheek pose serious threats to Roxanna Durham's attempt for an eighth "Ironmaiden," or top overall female.
