Posted on 8/21/2012

Sponsor contributions of ammunition and gear ensured the participants had plenty of trigger time in Parma.

PARMA, Idaho– Created to build character, integrity, and enhance the skills of young competitive shooters, the fifth annual MGM Junior Shooter Camp was held here July 21-23.

All 59 junior shooters from 17 US states enjoyed three sunny days of fun, learning, camaraderie and instruction from elite, world class competitive shooters. The camp was made possible in large part by generous shooting industry sponsors who provided equipment, awards, and funding.

Event founders Mike and Rhonda Gibson stated the event "… was a great experience and an incredible success!" All participants and staff are dedicated to promoting the American tradition of shooting, firearm safety and the 2nd amendment within an atmosphere of cooperation and respect.

Instruction was provided by the best of the best world class shooters from U.S. military, law enforcement and competitive shooting disciplines. Special thanks to instructors, B.J. Norris, Manny Bragg, Phil Strader, Max Michel, Randi Rogers and Matt Burkett. Keynote speaker and parents event instructor was Eddie Garcia.
