Upchurch Rolls at Area 6 MG Championships

Clint Upchurch (1190.2663) cruised to victory in the Open division, along with the top overall score for the match, during the USPSA Area 6 Multi-Gun Championships at South River Gun Club in Covington, Ga., recently. The win continues Upchurch’s rapid 3-gun ascent after winning a 3GN Wild Card at the USPSA Multi-Gun Nationals in Sept., followed by a division win at the Adams Arms Ozark 3-Gun Championship in Missouri. Chris Patty (983.5634) came in second in Open, followed by Jack Travers (919.6503), Ronald Shores, Sr. (879.3855) and Greg Queen (864.1013)

Chris Sechiatano (1097.2040) placed second overall, edging out the Tactical division over Noveske’s Rob Romero (1092.6150). Stefan Wiggins (1079.0201) placed third in Tactical, followed by Jeff Cramblit (1005.6761) and Todd Kennedy (1004.8038).

In Heavy Metal Limited, Michael Fordyce (1085.2276) bested Bryan Ray (1016.1591), a 3GN Shoot-Off qualifier at Ozark in September. Chad Drewery (913.5514), Timothy Jernigan (466.2501) and Xiaoyuan Liu (411.1429) rounded out the division standings.

In Limited, Thomas Carpenter (1102.9764) knocked off Noveske’s Tod Litt (1000.8033) for top honors. Edwin Gideons (978.3451) took third, followed by Ryan Nowell (872.1346) and William Jones (861.2080), rounding out the top five.

Kennedy also took high law enforcement, while Rockcastle Shooting Center’s Ben Fortin (854.5426) won high military. Travers turned in the top senior score. FNH USA’s Diana Liedorff (721.2698) won high lady honors, and Benjamin Manning (765.7700) turned in the best junior finish.
