3-Gun Nation Divisional Series

3-Gun Nation Divisional Series – 2012 MEMBERSHIP COST: $25
(Includes membership card; 25% Proceeds donated to 3GN/Task Force Dagger Wounded Warriors 3-Gun Team!)
1. Eligibility
1.1: The 3GN Divisional Series is open to any competitor. However, a competitor may be registered in ONLY one of the following 3GN points series: 3GN Divisional Series, 3GN Semi-Pro Series, or 3GN Amateur Series.
1.2: Competitors must register and pay associated fees at memberships.3gunnation.com in order to participate in the 3GN Divisional Series, presented by Hornady.
2. Matches
2.1: 3GN Divisional Series points will be awarded for participating in the following 3GN-Affiliated matches: 1.) Superstition Mountain Mystery 3-Gun, 2.) CMMG Midwest 3-Gun, 3.) MGM Ironman, 4.) Rocky Mountain 3-Gun, 5.) Adams Arms Ozark 3-Gun, 6.) Blue Ridge Mountain 3-Gun, 7.) Leupold Northwest 3-Gun, 8.) Fallen Brethren 3-Gun.
2.2: Signing up for the 3GN Divisional Series in no way gains a competitor entry into any 3GN-Affiliated match. Competitors are still required to sign up for each match via each match’s respective registration method.
3. Divisions
3.1: 3GN Divisional points will be awarded to the following recognized divisions: Tactical Optics, Open, Tactical Iron, Heavy Metal, and Heavy Metal Optics. NOTE: At MGM Ironman, Trooper division points will be scored as Open for the 3GN Divisional Series.
3.2: Note, not all divisions are recognized at every 3GN-Affiliated match.
4. Points
4.1: Series points will be awarded based on percentage earned during a given match. For example, if a competitor shoots 75% of the division winning score at match “X,” then the competitor will receive 75 series points for that match.
5. Awards
5.1: Hornady will award $5,000 first place prizes to the winners of the following divisions: Tactical Optics, Open, Tactical Iron, Heavy Metal, and Heavy Metal Optics
5.2: After calculating a competitor’s top three scores within a given division, the competitor with the most points will be declared the winner.
6. Ties
6.1: In the case where competitors’ top three scores result in a tie, the competitor with most overall division wins will be declared the winner. For example, competitor (1) has three match wins, while competitor (2) has four match wins; therefore, competitor (2) is named the winner.
6.2: If overall wins cannot break the tie, then the following tie break system will be used:
- First Tie-Break: Head to head match wins: In matches where the tied competitors each competed, the tie-break goes to the competitor who won the most of those matches.
- Second Tie-Break: Head to head stage wins: In matches where the tied competitors competed, the tie-break goes to the competitor who had the greater number of stage wins.
- Third Tie-Break: Stage wins for season: The competitor who had the greatest percentage of stage wins for the entire season.
7. Pro Series Qualification
7.1: The top five competitors in each of the 3GN Divisional Series divisions will receive an invite to the 2012-2013 3GN Pro Series Qualification match. (Venue TBD). These slots will go to the top five in each division only. Any unused slot will be forfeited and go unused.
7.2: The following divisions are recognized in the 3GN Divisional Series: Tactical Optics, Open, Tactical Iron, Heavy Metal and Heavy Metal Optics.
7.3: The top five competitors in each division will be based on the final 3GN Divisional Series standings at the end of the 2012 3GN season.
