Predator Tactical recently debuted the updated Gen 2 Burkett Offset Mount for secondary optics. Developed by noted competitor and trainer, Matt Burkett, the Gen 2 features stronger, thicker wings, a quick detach thumb nut and optional rail slot usage.
Able to accommodate most small red dot sights, the mount sets the optic at exactly 45-degrees on either the right or left side. The mount attaches to all Picatinny rails and includes extra scope mounting screws.
From practical shooting to tactical operations, the mount compliments any AR-15/10 platform that is using a powered optic, giving the operator or competitor increased capabilities for short-range shooting.
The Gen 2 is currently being deployed by US SOCOM and LE SWAT units. Along with Matt Burkett, the mount is also used by Jerry Miculek, one of the best open-class shooters in 3-gun.
The Gen 2’s reversible mount is compatible with Burris FastFire 1 and 2, J-Point, Trijicon RedDot, Trijicon RMR, C-more STS, Tasco Optima, Firepoint, Docter and Leupold DeltaPoint red dot sights.
