His shooting career started when a friend invited him and his father to a local USPSA handgun match.  The thrill of competitive shooting bit him very hard.  After a couple years of handgun matches and the occasional 3-gun match, Burton made 3-gun his focus in 2010.  "I love how 3-gun takes a complete shooter, proficient with all three types of firearms and all ranges".  Burton also enjoys all the preparation the physical sport of 3-gun demands.  Along with his practice regime he is an avid weight lifter and runner.  In between matches, he stays very active big game hunting, upland bird hunting, long range shooting, and camping.  Burton would like to thank his wife, family, friends, and co-workers for all there support.
