The 2011 FNH USA 3-Gun Nation Championship, presented by SureFire, will be an event in which the top competitors, compiled through points from the previous nine (9) qualifying events will be invited to compete for a grand prize of $25,000, courtesy of Leupold Tactical Optics.

Total points accumulated at each match will go towards each competitor’s overall score for the FNH USA 3-Gun Nation Championship Series, Presented by SureFire—and determine qualification for the 3-Gun Nation Championship. A competitor must have competed in a minimum of three (3) affiliated matches. Only a competitor's top three match scores (should he/she compete in more than 3) will be used to tabulate a final 3GN Championship qualification score. Also, for 2011, a competitor is free to use scores from multiple divisions to qualify for the 3GN Championship. A competitor may use any combination of divisions to meet the requirements. For example, two scores earned in Tactical Optics, plus one in Heavy Metal, meet the minimum requirement of three match scores.

Each qualifying event will be worth 100 total series points. For placing first in any division, a competitor shall receive 100 points. The remaining field of competitors within said division will receive points normalized from the percentage earned in relationship to the top score from that division.

3GN points will be awarded to participants according to their overall match points relative to the most points earned per division, using the equation: 3GN Points = (Highest Total/Individual’s Total) x 100.

Example: 1st place Heavy Metal = 1098.14 points for 100%, or 100 points; 10th place Heavy Metal = 610.45 points for 55.5% of 1st place score, or 56 points. Values will be rounded up or down, accordingly.

After event nine (9), USPSA Multi-Gun Nationals, the top 50 scores will be posted, and these competitors will earn an invitation to the FNH USA 3-Gun Nation Championship, presented by SureFire. Those 50 competitors will also have guaranteed slots to event ten (10), FNH USA 3-Gun Championship, which will precede the 3-Gun Nation championship match held at the same venue. During the FNH 3-Gun Championship, 14 additional slots will be earned, based on series points, for the 3GN Championship. In all, 64 competitors will be invited to the 3GN Championship. In the event a qualified competitor declines the right to compete in the 3GN Championship, N3GA will grant that slot to the next qualified competitor from the overall series standings.

Due to event scheduling and television production demands, Adams Arms Ozark falls twice within the 2011 3GN Tour. September 2010 and September 2011 matches. In the event a competitor competes in both matches, those competitors may use only one (1) (the higher of the two) score from Ozark toward their qualification in the 3GN Championship.
